Sony’s rumoured WH-1000XM4C wireless headphones have appeared in a new set of high-resolution images ahead of their expected launch. The images offer a closer look at the design and suggest that Sony could bring back the familiar look of the popular WH-1000XM4 with some hardware changes.
Sony WH-1000XM4C Design and Specifications
The Sony WH-1000XM4C is expected to feature a foldable over-ear design similar to the original WH-1000XM4, which launched in 2020. The headphones are reportedly 253g and could be available in black, platinum silver and lavender colour options.
The leaked images suggest that NFC may be removed from the new model. However, the headphones are expected to retain a 3.5mm headphone jack and USB Type-C port. The Sony WH-1000XM4C could also support Bluetooth 6.0 and active noise cancellation (ANC). Other reported specifications include 40mm drivers and a 4Hz to 40kHz frequency response.
Battery life is tipped to reach up to 27 hours with ANC enabled and 34 hours with ANC turned off. This is slightly lower than the original WH-1000XM4.
Sony WH-1000XM4C Price
The Sony WH-1000XM4C is reportedly priced at EUR 249, which is roughly ₹27,300. The original WH-1000XM4 launched in Europe at EUR 379, making the new model considerably cheaper if the leaked pricing is accurate.
However, the Indian price could be different due to taxes and local pricing. Sony has not officially confirmed the WH-1000XM4C yet, so its launch date, price and specifications should be considered unconfirmed for now.
