Samsung has unveiled the Galaxy Buds On, its first clip-on wireless earphones in the Galaxy Buds lineup. The new earbuds feature an open-ear design that sits around the ears instead of inside the ear canal. This allows users to listen to music while remaining aware of surrounding sounds. Samsung has also introduced audio, calling and AI-based features, along with a claimed battery life of up to 9.5 hours on a single charge.
Samsung Galaxy Buds On Price and Availability
The Samsung Galaxy Buds On price is set at KRW 299,000 (approximately Rs. 21,000). The earphones will go on sale in South Korea on October 27 in a Black colour option. Samsung has confirmed that a global launch will follow, although the company has not yet announced availability details for India.
Samsung Galaxy Buds On Features and Specifications
The Galaxy Buds On use a clip-on design that rests around the ear. Samsung says the adjustable band and wider contact area are designed to provide a secure fit during movement. The open-ear construction also helps users hear traffic and other environmental sounds while listening to music or taking calls.
For audio, the earphones feature Samsung’s TwinBoost speakers and automatic volume control, which adjusts listening levels based on the surrounding environment. Audio Leakage Reduction technology is also included to limit sound escaping from the earbuds.
The Galaxy Buds On are powered by Qualcomm’s Snapdragon S7 Gen 1 Sound Platform with a Class-D amplifier. Samsung claims up to 9.5 hours of music playback on a single charge.
For calls, the earbuds feature three microphones, a bone-conduction-based Voice Pickup Unit sensor and machine learning technology to reduce background noise, including wind and indoor appliance sounds.
The earphones also support selected Galaxy AI features on compatible devices. Users can access Gemini Live through voice commands, record notes using Quick Voice Memo and control certain functions with Head Gestures.
Compatible Galaxy smartphones and tablets can connect to the earbuds when the charging case is opened. Samsung has yet to confirm details such as the Bluetooth version, supported audio codecs and charging specifications.
