Xiaomi’s Redmi brand has confirmed the India launch date of its upcoming Redmi Note 17 Pro series. The new smartphone lineup will be introduced in the country on September 15. The company has also started revealing details about the design, battery capacity and camera features of the upcoming phones.
The Redmi Note 17 Pro series is expected to include two models, the Redmi Note 17 Pro and Redmi Note 17 Pro Max. The company has not officially confirmed the names yet, but its teasers suggest that two smartphones will be part of the new lineup.
Redmi Note 17 Pro Series: Battery and Design
One of the main highlights of the Redmi Note 17 Pro series will be its large battery. According to the company, the lineup will offer up to a 10,000mAh battery. Redmi says its internal testing suggests that the phones can provide more than four days of usage with light use on a single charge.
The smartphones will have a flat rear panel with a square-shaped camera module. The Redmi Note 17 Pro has been shown in a blue colour option, while both models are expected to get multiple colour choices. The power and volume buttons will be located on the right side.
Redmi Note 17 Pro Max Specifications
The Redmi Note 17 Pro Max is expected to feature a 6.83-inch display with a 1.5K resolution of 1280×2772 pixels. It could be powered by the Snapdragon 6 Gen 5 chipset and paired with 8GB of LPDDR5x RAM. The phone is expected to offer up to 512GB of UFS 4.1 storage.
For photography, the Pro Max is expected to feature a 50-megapixel primary rear camera with optical image stabilisation (OIS), along with an 8-megapixel ultrawide camera. A 32-megapixel front camera is also expected.
Redmi Note 17 Pro Expected Specifications
The standard Redmi Note 17 Pro could come with a 6.83-inch display and a Snapdragon 6s Gen 4 processor. It is expected to pack 8GB of RAM and up to 128GB of storage.
The phone could feature a 50-megapixel primary camera paired with a 2-megapixel secondary sensor. A 8-megapixel front camera and a 9,000mAh battery are also expected. Both smartphones are likely to run Android 16.
The Redmi Note 17 Pro series will be available in India through Amazon. More details, including the official pricing and complete specifications, are expected to be announced around the launch.
