Mashable reports the Sony XM6 earbuds have hit an all-time low price on Amazon US with a significant discount. Indian buyers are still awaiting official local launch details and pricing for the premium earbuds.
The Sony XM6 earbuds have reportedly hit an all-time low price on Amazon US during a Prime Day deal, according to a report by Mashable. This international offer sees the premium true wireless earbuds discounted by $71 (around ₹5,900 at current exchange rates), making it a significant deal for buyers in regions where the product is available.
While the news is exciting for global audiophiles, Indian consumers should temper their expectations for now. The Sony XM6 earbuds have not yet officially launched in India, and details regarding their local availability and pricing remain unconfirmed. This particular deal is specific to Amazon US and does not directly translate to an offer on Amazon India or other Indian retail platforms.
For Indian users eyeing Sony's top-tier noise-cancelling earbuds, the current flagship available is still the Sony WF-1000XM5, which launched in India earlier this year. The XM5 currently retails for around ₹24,990, often seeing discounts during festive sales or through bank offers on platforms like Amazon and Flipkart. The XM6, if it launches here, would naturally succeed the XM5, likely bringing incremental improvements in audio quality, ANC, or battery life.
This international price drop on the XM6 could, however, offer a glimpse into future pricing strategy for India. Historically, Sony's premium audio products tend to launch at a higher price point in India compared to their US counterparts, even after currency conversion. A substantial international discount like this on a relatively new product might signal that Sony is looking to make the XM6 more competitive globally, which could eventually translate into more aggressive India pricing or quicker local deals once it arrives.
Honestly, Indian buyers shouldn't wait around for this specific Amazon US deal. Instead, if you're in the market for premium noise-cancelling earbuds, keep an eye out for ongoing or upcoming festive sales in India on the WF-1000XM5 or its rivals like the Bose QuietComfort Ultra Earbuds or the Sennheiser Momentum True Wireless 4. Until Sony officially announces the XM6 for the Indian market, any speculation on its local price or availability remains just that — speculation.
