OPPO's next software iteration, ColorOS 17, is set to debut in India alongside the upcoming OPPO Find X10 series. This is according to a recent report by 91Mobiles, which also confirmed that the Open Beta programme for ColorOS 17 is now live for OnePlus 13 and OnePlus 15 series users in the country.
ColorOS 17 and the OPPO Find X10 Series
The launch of ColorOS 17 with the Find X10 series strongly suggests that OPPO's next flagship phones are nearing their Indian market release. While specific features of ColorOS 17 haven't been detailed yet, a new software version typically brings interface refinements, performance improvements, and new functionalities. Indian buyers eyeing a premium smartphone will likely see the Find X10 series arrive with the latest software right out of the box.
OnePlus Users Get Early Access
For OnePlus users, the ColorOS 17 Open Beta programme offers an early opportunity to test the software. This beta is available for the OnePlus 13 and OnePlus 15 series. Joining a beta program means users can try new features before the stable public release, though it often comes with potential bugs or stability issues. This also confirms that the OnePlus 13 and 15 series, being recent flagships, will indeed receive the latest software update, aligning with the brand's commitment to timely updates.
What This Means for Indian Buyers
The Find X10 series, when it arrives, will compete in India's top-tier smartphone segment, going up against devices like Samsung's Galaxy S series or the latest iPhones. Given OPPO's history, we can expect the Find X10 series to focus on camera technology and fast charging, areas where the brand usually stands out. For Indian consumers, a debut with the latest software could be a selling point, showing the company's focus on a contemporary user experience from day one.
Key Details Still Under Wraps
However, plenty of details about the OPPO Find X10 series remain unconfirmed. We don't have any information on the specific models within the series, their technical specifications, or their India pricing. The official launch date is also still under wraps. Similarly, while the beta program is live, the exact roadmap for ColorOS 17's stable release, including its features and availability for other OPPO and OnePlus devices, hasn't been announced.
Indian smartphone enthusiasts will need to watch for official announcements from OPPO regarding the Find X10 series and the full feature set of ColorOS 17. For existing OnePlus 13 and 15 series users, participating in the Open Beta provides a direct path to experiencing the software ahead of its wider rollout.
